The Florida High Tech Corridor Council Matching Funds Research Program at the University of Florida

How Can you Participate?

The University of Florida has established two FHTCC Matching Funds Research Program areas – 1) a General Solicitation targeted to companies of all sizes in the Corridor, and 2) an SBIR/STTR Phase II Solicitation for companies in the Corridor of less than 500 employees who are recipients of an SBIR or STTR Phase I award.  Both program areas are specifically designed to expand the research activities of an FHTCC industry partner in the Corridor by providing matching funds to leverage research collaborations between targeted industries within the Corridor and UF. 

While projects may be proposed in any discipline, applications are particularly encouraged in areas contributing to the development of the high technology sectors encompassed within the FHTCC-UF program including:

Ø  Life Sciences (Biotech, Medical Devices, Pharmaceuticals, Health Care

Ø  Information Technology including Products/Services & Software Development

Ø  Modeling / Simulation / Training, Photonics / Lasers / Optics

Ø  Telecommunications

Ø  Microelectronics

Ø  Aviation / Aerospace

Ø  Homeland Security / Defense

Ø  Financial / Professional Services

Ø  Manufacturing

Ø  Biomedical Engineering

Ø  Nanotechnology

Ø  Renewable Energy

Ø  Hydrogen

Ø  Agri-business
